Rotary Solar Case
We still have Cases in transit to PNG, Phillipines and Nepal - COVID etc impacting shipping etc. However, we also have reports starting to filter in from Australian Doctors International placements - please see attached
In respect of the issues raised by the reports -
Sunlight will always be an issue, it is there, they just have to pick the best spot and run a lead. Roof mounted 120-160 watt permanent panels should keep the battery charged even in dim light (to be supplied locally). However, these three Cases have 120 watt solar baskets to enhance mobility - thus placement is important. On the other side each Case has 4 uUSB rechargeable lights that last in excess of 10 hours each. So light should always be available. We are currently experimenting with better Clinic lights, see below - these seem suitable but we need to see. They are USD8 each, but postage from China is USD80 plus - so we need some extra funding - anyone wish to place some funds in our RAWCS account for Christmas would be gladly appreciated. If suitable we would hope to order at least 50 and potentially replace some of the globe lights currently in the field. But one step at a time.
